Open daily The owners of Assunta Madre , themselves former fishermen, travel an hour from Rome every afternoon to the fishing village of Terracina to handpick the best of the day's catch. Upon your arrival, many antipasti will be immediately served and the crew will go on and on if you don’t stop them! The atmosphere is cosy, in this simple open space off the Piazza Farnese. The fine wine list emphasizes whites.

Open daily Among the archaeological street of “Via del Gesù”, the Restaurant was born in the historic cellars of an old convent of Benedictine monks. A careful research and selection of products, daily caught by the fishing boat, named “TASTE OF THE SEA” owned by the same restaurant, ensures high quality of fish. The ambience is relaxed and at the same time romantic with all candle light tables. In the summer tables are hidden in a small beautiful piazzetta.

Located in the residential area of Parioli, this modern style restaurant, is always very frequented by many locals. The typical rotisserie set in the middle of the restaurant, makes this place appetizing especially for meat lovers. Their menu is an excellent representation of original Italian flavours. At the entrance a nice bar where you can start the evening enjoying a good drink.

A stone’s throw from Campo de’ Fiori, recently renewed, this traditional restaurant has always kept its quality at the highest standards. Pierluigi’s menu is a unique combination between earth and sea, however, the owner Roberto enjoys mixing these two sides of Italian cuisine. With the amazing little piazza just for them during the summer, this restaurant ensures an extraordinary culinary experience.

Next to the the Hotel de Russie in the beautiful Piazza del Popolo, Bolognese is a very classic and elegant restaurant specialized in northern Italian cuisine from Bologna. The speciality is the trolley of boiled meet served with an incredible green sauce and mustard. The dress code is formal.

In walking distance from the hotel, this Mediterranean restaurant, offers both fish and meat dishes. Salvatore and his family, all from Napoli, are always inspired by the traditional flavours of their region. The perfect place for an after-theatre-dinner, as the kitchen closes very late at 1 a.m.

This traditional family run restaurant is centrally located downtown area, just off the Piazza Barberini. The best in town for the typical “bistecca Fiorentina” , their menu also offers a variety of Italian seasonal specialities and fresh fish. Large "collectors" selection of Italian and imported wines.

Cristina & Caterina run the Restaurant located in the residential area Parioli, about 15 minutes by car from our hotel. Recently renewed it kept its historic classic well known ambient. The Menu, overseen by Cristina and made with enthusiasm by a team of young chefs is printed daily based on the fresh delights of the market.

AR’ GALLETTO (www.ristoranteargalletto.com) Open daily
Located on the beautiful square Piazza Farnese Ar Galletto is a typical family run Trattoria that has been recently, completely renewed. This is the best place to eat roman dishes and pasta. The new Sicilian woman chef has also introduced very good fish dishes. Outdoor dining in summer on the beautiful square, where the atmosphere is enriched by the lighted frescoes of the French Embassy.

An excellent family run, traditional Trattoria, just a few minutes walking from the Hotel De Russie, with very friendly service in a warm and casual ambience.

IL MATRICIANO Closed on Wednesday
The restaurant is ideally located near the Vatican and is only a stone's throw from the Vatican city. Il Matriciano offers a warm atmosphere and is popular with many locals.

TAVERNA TRILUSSA (www.tavernatrilussa.it) Closed on Sunday
A family-run, typically Roman trattoria with a pleasant, informal atmosphere, situated right in the heart of Trastevere the strolling area around Piazza Trilussa. Rome’s most famous dish are the “Bucatini all’ Amatriciana”, thick spaghetti with tomato sauce, bacon and Pecorino cheese but once there you should not miss to try the “Ravioli Mimosa” which taste will enchant you! The recipe is still secret….

Away from the touristic flow, located in a residential area in walking distance form the Hotel de Russie, Market is the place to enjoy the authentic roman pizza surrounded by an informal atmosphere. The menu is enriched by pasta and meat dishes.

Located near the Piazza Navona, it offers pizza and wine in a fun and noisy atmosphere. A favourite of locals. Swift, courteous service. There are open-air tables.

LEONCINO Closed on Wednesday
Located off the Via Condotti, this simple place is dominated by a large wooden oven with speedy service and a family feel. Their excellent pizzas are “alla romana”, with thin and crispy crusts. Tables outside available.
